“… a delightful, entertaining and educating repertoire… fine performance, both in French and Spanish… terrific to work with… a real enhancement to our language curriculum.

Nashua High School, Nashua NH

Josée Vachon presents a warm, enjoyable concert for all ages, using personal anecdotes about growing up in a Québécois family and her knowledge of the history and culture of the French in America.

The music is traditional and contemporary French, Québécois and Acadian folk songs; some are her own compositions. It’s a captivating mix of sing-alongs, clogging, and humorous anecdotes with guitar, feet, occasionally the piano, and sometimes with the group Chanterelle. Josée sings primarily in French, though often adds songs in Spanish and English to suit an audience.

    • Concert length: Presented in a 45-minute set, but easily adapted to the length of the school period.
